Magazine Conventions

The mise en sense of this magazine denotes a heavily based sports school
this is evident through the pictures illustrated on the page. The first one
image on the cover denotes a longshot of the school football team locked deep in a match whilst the
other two images denotes the school team during training altogether these
images connote a sense of sportsmanship and competition throught the whole
school.
The colour scheme of this magazine consist of a lime shade of green and
white this ties in with the fact that the school is a Christian school to
connote the purity and righteousness of the school. The colour scheme is
constant throughout the entire front cover and possibly the rest of the
magazine it is also made evident that the colour scheme is also used as the
actual school colours e.g. colour of the school uniform and colours of the PE
kits and football uniforms.
The Masthead of the magazine “EAGLE” is made big and bold on purpose in
order to catch the reader’s attention as they lay there eyes on the cover page,
the colour of the masthead is made green to tie in with the school national
colours.
