Software learning and development
Photoshop
Before I started this course I already had sufficient knowledge on how to use Photoshop and how o fashion the tools to my advantage in order to create a very successful magazine cover. With the additional skills I have learned from my teacher I am sure to create a very professional type front cover not only for my school magazine but for future course such as, my music magazine.
InDesign
Unlike Photoshop I have no knowledge on how to use this software but learning how to use the tools was not extremely hard infact it was quite straight forward, this was because InDesign was made by the same company that made Photoshop so must of the tools were either the same or worked in almost the exact same way.
Analysis of responses
Analysis of questioner responses

This shows that from the sample of 6th formers I gave to read my survey only s majority read magazines and even then they do not read it all the time.
2.What would you want to see as the cover image of a school magazine?
From this sample it seems that my readers would want a whole variety of subjects and items on the front cover rather than just one cover star.

From this question it seems most of the people I questioned want a holiday themed issue, such as Christmas or Halloween
4. How much will you be willing to spend on a school magazine?
From this sample it is evident that my target audience are not interested in paying any money for the magazine.
5. Please state where you would expect to find a copy of the school magazine?
A majority of the answers given to this question stated that people would expect to see a copy of the school magazine in the school office or library
6. Which target audience/ demographic do you think the school magazine would better suit?
From this sample it is evident that I need to make the demographic for my magazine both parents and students.
To complete I think that it is safe to say that the results of my questionnaire where quite successful, I have now gain the correct type of knowledge need to successfully create a school magazine which i will be perfectly tailored for my wild range demographic.

Photoshoot
Photoshoot and analysis
First shoot
I intially wanted to start my shooting with a long shot of the main school building, this connotes the foundation of the school because this is the oldest building present in the school history, this also connotes the bonds that has strengthen between past and previous students and teachers
Second shoot
For my second shot I decided to do a medium close up shot of the door to the main building, I decided to do this because it connotes the invitation for pupils to join the school and becoming a member of the Beaverwood family, this type of image could be used for an induction day or opening evening leaflet to persuade students to join the school.
Third shoot
For my third shoot I decided to take another longshot of the main school building but from a different angle, this was done to show a better perspective of the school building.
Forth shoot
For my forth shoot, I decided to do a shot focusing on a 6th former in front of the 6th-form common room. This connotes an average student taking pride in their school.

Final magazine sketch blueprint
The theme of my magazine would be focusing on back to school thus that is why I also decided to make the magazine a September/ October issue.
